Compensation Overview
Annual base salary range: $106,300 – $175,400
Performance‑based cash incentive awards are also part of the comprehensive benefit program.
Role Overview
We are seeking a network and operational‑minded security professional with developer capabilities to protect a Fortune 500 company through perimeter controls and zero‑trust architecture. The role supports firewall rule approvals, intrusion prevention systems, web proxy and web application firewall technologies, and drives automation and data integration to modernize security processes.
Responsibilities
- Participate in well‑scoped projects involving analysis, assessment and resolution of cybersecurity platforms or products.
- Support security controls across multiple tools and processes, managing configuration and distribution across systems.
- Independently monitor, alert and troubleshoot incidents involving platform extensions, researching problems and documenting remediation.
- Consult with business customers on software, education, performance testing and enhancement requests.
- Work on coding, scripting and automating basic to intermediate tasks, and update policy or maintenance upgrades.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Cybersecurity.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology Security Engineering or Software engineering.
- Programming experience is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud computing, automation concepts, system, network and OS hardening.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity privacy principles, cyber threats, vulnerabilities and defense policies, procedures and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle shifting priorities.
Minimum Must‑Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience in Information Technology Security Engineering or Software engineering.
