POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing production orders; publishing statistical production reports; and assisting with the maintenance of standard costs associated with multiple product lines and manufacturing processes. This position is also responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General Supervision
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects, reviews, and enters production order data; self-audits work for accuracy and reasonableness and analyzes subsequent accounting results.
- Calculates statistical performance indicators and publishes results to Plant Management.
- Reconciliation of planned Raw Material consumption with production reporting.
- Assist in Generate Raw Material PO’s and coordinate material deliveries with production leads.
- Works closely with plant personnel to resolve reporting discrepancies.
- Maintains archives of all production reports.
- Reviews bills of material, batch yields, and product run rates for consistency; reports on trends and suggests corrective revisions.
- Assists with annual fiscal year standard revision updates.
- Assists with daily, monthly, and twice-yearly inventory counts, both finished goods and raw materials.
- Assists with month-end close requirements including, but not limited to, calculating and posting actual activities and closing out completed production orders for subsequent variance calculations.
- Performs general office clerical duties as needed including, but not limited to, answering phones, filing/scanning paperwork, and providing peer back-up.
- Assists with research and projects as needed.
- Assist with product transfers between plants -intercompany stock transfers or Sub-Contractor Transfers
- Assist with planning, preparation and completion of semi and Annual Finished goods inventory (two weekends a year)
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with production personnel and other related administration personnel, i.e., supervisors, purchasing staff, and plant managers.
- Maintains work area and equipment according to Company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by the Company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the Company or its designated representative.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years of college or the equivalent; accounting experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to stay on task.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Strong problem-solving skills are a must.
- Ability to operate personal computer, printer, 10-key adding machine, copier, facsimile machine and any other equipment required to perform duties.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems- Excel and Word.
- SAP knowledge a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.
- Occasionally required to bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office environment with moderate noise.
- Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dusty, dirty.
- Outdoor weather conditions. Extreme temperatures.
- Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
$28 - $30/hours Depending on Qualifications and Experience
