Under the direction of a High School Vice Principal or Head Counselor, provide a variety of secretarial duties to coordinate the Guidance and Counseling Office and to relieve Counselors of administrative details: Answer telephones, greet, and assist students and the public. Control and establish appointments for Counselors; schedule appointments for current and new students. Organize required files and documentation; prepare classroom passes as needed. Schedule parent conferences and campus visitations by college representatives. Screen individuals to obtain better understanding of the appointment to ready the Counselor for upcoming appointments. Maintain a variety of records, reports, and files related to assigned activities. Communicate with school personnel to exchange information and resolve concerns or issues. Request homework assignments from teachers for ill students. Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of increasingly responsible clerical and secretarial experience. Comments and Other Information
