Overview Community Health Centers of America is hiring for an MD/DO to work in family practice clinics in McFarland, CA. The physician must supervise NP/PAs and may also work in partner long‑term care facilities. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients in the clinic setting.
Job Description
Evaluates medical conditions.
Develops and implements treatment plans, including prescriptions.
Monitors and evaluates treatment results.
Conducts patient interviews, family interviews, physical examinations, reviews medical history, orders laboratory tests, and evaluates results.
Determines the nature and extent of medical conditions and creates treatment plans.
Collaborates with nurses, mental health therapists, physicians, and other health care providers on interdisciplinary treatment.
Enforces policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and participates in utilization reviews to ensure quality and safety.
Documents symptoms, medications, treatment events, and writes summaries in historical records.
Participates in continuing medical education, maintains professional networks, and joins professional organizations.
Accepts ownership for new requests and explores opportunities to add value to the department and organization.
Job Qualifications
Completion of residency.
Valid state medical license as MD or DO.
Valid DEA certificate.
3 years’ experience working as a Physician.
Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Critical thinking.
Active listening.
Social perceptiveness.
