The DoubleTree at Warren Place is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to join the team. The Director of Sales will be accountable for forecasting, outside sales calls, obtaining new accounts, conducting site tours, and networking with the local business community to drive sales for the hotel.

Essential Job Functions
Provide oversight to the team and develop/solicit business from group segments to ensure bookings needed for a successful profitable operation.
Direct solicitation efforts of sales staff, oversee rate, date and space commitments for group room sales and catering functions.
Coordinate with Director of Revenue Strategy to ensure group proposals and contracts meet minimum expectations.
Forecast group room nights and revenue weekly on a rolling 12‑month calendar.
Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems and recommend discipline or termination.
Provide direction to the team and report on forecast, sales meetings, weekly and monthly reports.
Conduct regular training programs and meet Crescent performance standards.
Compile reports on Sales Department operations (budget, forecast, lead management, booking reports, STR, pace, sales meetings).
Research travel industry to detect market trends and develop new group sales strategies.
Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients and promote Crescent programs.
Meet and entertain clients, some requiring travel.
Solicit, qualify, manage and book the Citywide Room Block segmentation.
Review and approve all contracts for the sales department.
Review and move meetings within the hotel to maximize revenues.
Communicate verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
Prepare computerized annual Sales & Marketing Plan and adjust as needed.
Organize and attend Sales Department meetings.
Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales leadership experience.
BT sales expertise preferred.
Marriott hotel sales experience preferred.
Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors.
