Head of Growth
Location:
San Francisco, CA (hybrid) About the Client
Our client is a venture-backed AI software company building tools that help brands understand and improve how they appear across emerging AI-driven search and answer surfaces. They serve growth-stage and enterprise marketing teams, offering analytics, recommendations, and workflows to increase visibility and trust across modern discovery channels. The company is scaling quickly and is recognized in the market for thought leadership around AI-era search and brand discovery. About the Role
You will own the end-to-end growth engine—spanning acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization—for a product used by marketing and SEO leaders. This is a hands‑on leadership role that blends demand generation, product‑led growth, lifecycle, content/community, and partnerships. You’ll set strategy, build the motion, and ship experiments that drive pipeline and self‑serve revenue. Responsibilities
Define the growth strategy and quarterly roadmap across paid, organic, product‑led, and partner motions.
Build a high‑quality pipeline: run targeted campaigns for mid‑market/enterprise while enabling PLG for teams that try before they buy.
Stand up a rigorous experimentation program (A/B, multivariate) across landing pages, onboarding, pricing/packaging, and paywalls.
Own website and conversion funnels: messaging, SEO for AI‑era discovery, CRO, and attribution.
Launch and scale always‑on demand gen (paid search/social, retargeting, review sites) with clear CAC/LTV guardrails.
Lead lifecycle marketing (email, in‑app, webinars) to improve activation, expansion, and retention.
Develop content and community programs (reports, benchmarks, events, social) that position the company as the category guide for marketers navigating AI‑driven search.
Build and manage an agile team (in‑house + agency/freelancers); establish dashboards and operating cadence with RevOps and Sales.
Partner with Product on growth features (shareable reports, alerts, prompts libraries, recommendations) and with Sales on ABM and partner co‑marketing.
Own forecasting and executive reporting for KPIs spanning traffic, trials, PQLs/MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and revenue.
Requirements
7–10+ years in growth, demand gen, or product marketing at B2B SaaS; success with PLG and sales‑assisted funnels.
Proven track record taking a technical product from early traction to scale (ideally selling to marketing/SEO leaders).
Expert in experimentation, funnel analytics, and attribution; fluent with tools like GA/GA4, marketing automation, CDP/CRM, and product analytics.
Strong performance marketing and CRO chops; comfortable setting CAC/ROAS targets and reallocating budget fast.
Content/community instincts—able to turn product insights and market trends into programs that drive inbound and brand authority.
Collaborative leader who can hire, mentor, and manage cross‑functional squads; excellent communicator with executive presence.
