This opportunity, working as a part of a mid-sized family owned business, will provide many elements for the right individual to utilize their strengths and experience. Key Responsibilities Perform Category 1 and Category 5 Inspections and Tests Inspect installation and operation of Elevators, Escalators and related conveyance equipment to verify compliance with applicable building and safety codes Investigate concerns of code violations Inspect to verify corrective actions Interpret and explain rules, regulations, ordinances and safety standards to clients Prepare and maintain accurate records and inspection reports Follow company standards, forms, processes and procedures in fulfilling job requirements May be required to work overtime and off hour shifts as needed Submit reports on deficient items for correction Qualifications / Required Skills Must have a Valid QEI Elevator Inspector's Certification Thorough knowledge of the NYC Building Code and ASME Safety Codes Thorough working knowledge of elevator and escalator systems, troubleshooting techniques and maintenance procedures Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals; Federal, State and Local Code Enforcement agencies and other organizations with whom interface is required Ability to communicate effectively Must be willing to travel Strong computer/mobile business device skills Clean/valid driver’s license NYC DOB Elevator Inspector's license a plus * Resume and work experience references must be submitted in order to be considered for this position * Benefits Package including Health Insurance Benefits, 401K, Paid Time off (Holiday, Vacation, Personal, Sick) * Compensation based on experience Corporate Office 5 Davids Drive Hauppauge, NY 11788 PH : 631-563-1240 FX : 631-563-1246 Branch Office 62-26 Myrtle Avenue Glendale, NY 11385 PH: 718-628-1240 COMMERCIAL / RESIDENTIAL - INSTALLATIONS & SERVICE Commercial & Residential Elevator and Lift Services in the Long Island, NY & NJ Areas
