Join a caring team supporting Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla as a Medical Staff Coordinator in the Medical Staff department. You'll be on the front line for creating a positive Scripps Health experience for our patients while being responsible for duties such as the following:

Providing administrative and organizational support to the Medical Staff Administration Department and to the medical staff leadership.

Coordinating on behalf of the medical staff organization the development, if applicable and/or revisions of their bylaws, rules and regulations, policies/procedures, and privileging criteria.

Establishing and maintaining systems to ensure timely processing of credentialing practices, which may include initial appointments and/or reappointments.

Supporting medical staff leadership in conducting their meeting(s) management, and review(s) of credentialing files, peer review, and review(s) of OPPE (ongoing professional practice evaluations) and FPPE (focused professional practice evaluations) including proctoring.

Assisting in the coordination of the continuing medical education (CME) program for the medical staff organization.

Maintaining responsibility and accountability of assigned medical staff sections/departments/committees and their relationship with the medical staff organization in fulfilling compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.
