Dewberry is currently seeking a
Senior Drainage Engineer
with strong organizational and technical skills to support our growing Transportation design practice. This position will be based in our
Jacksonville, FL
office. Serve as Engineer-of-Record, Senior Engineer, or Project Manager on Transportation projects, depending on project specifics Perform and collaborate on drainage analyses with other Drainage staff Prepare drainage plans, reports, construction quantities, cost estimates and specifications for transportation projects Perform QC reviews of design documentation and plans prepared by internal staff and other consultants Communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines with other professionals and subconsultants to successfully deliver quality projects within budget and on schedule Oversee project design activities, supervise production efforts, and mentor less-experienced engineers Meet and build strong working relationships with clients and permitting agencies Prepare marketing materials and serve as Drainage Lead during project pursuit presentations Perform other management, marketing, and professional networking activities Required Skills & Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree in a water resources field is a plus) 7+ years of relevant FDOT drainage/water resources design experience Valid Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, or the ability to acquire it within 6 months after hire Experience with FDOT drainage design criteria, standards, and procedures Experience with permitting requirements of Florida Water Management Districts, FDEP, and USACOE Experience with ICPR, ASAD, SUDA, MicroStation, Geopak, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, Civil3D, CADD, ORD, GIS, or similar software. The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) Be a self-motivated professional who is accountable to meeting individual and project goals Dewberry Benefits
