This is a full‑time role based in Los Angeles, CA.
What you’ll be doing:
Handle high volume caseload including both NIV and IV matters such as H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, PERM, I-140, I-485, and EB-1 (EA and OR).
Manage 3 to 4 paralegals of various skill levels ranging from junior to senior and provide direction to staff using extensive knowledge of business immigration.
Be fluent with case management and other reporting tools and technologies used to manage data and information.
Work with clients to perform intake of cases, troubleshoot issues and establish case strategy.
Analyze case documents and review immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency.
Draft complex Requests for Evidence, Motions to Reopen, Appeals and Audits to both USCIS and DOL.
Serve as point of contact for clients and regularly communicate with corporate clients and foreign nationals on case strategy and legal requirements.
Participate in client webinars and on‑site (one‑on‑one meetings) as required.
Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems.
Run reports as needed.
Work closely in a team environment and provide updates while building knowledge of firm and client processes.
Receive continuous training and development on requirements for various types of non‑immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications.
What you need:
Must be barred and legally eligible to practice law in the United States.
Minimum three (3) years of experience working in business immigration with both NIV and IV employment‑based matters.
Possesses strong knowledge of procedural requirements for all major business non‑immigrant and immigrant visas and client processes.
Has a client service mindset with attention to detail and a desire to achieve a high level of productivity.
Experience in a high volume practice is preferred with paralegal management as well as experience with global immigration.
Strong computer, organizational and writing skills required as well as superior attention to detail.
Experience with immigration databases, data entry, and MS Excel/Outlook a plus.
