A law firm seeks a Business Immigration Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time role involves handling a high volume of business immigration cases and managing a team of paralegals. The position offers a collaborative work environment and opportunities for professional growth.
Duties
Handle high volume caseload including NIV and IV matters such as H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, PERM, I-140, I-485, and EB-1.
Manage and provide direction to a team of 3 to 4 paralegals.
Utilize case management and reporting tools effectively.
Perform client intake, troubleshoot issues, and establish case strategies.
Analyze case documents and review immigration applications for filing.
Draft complex Requests for Evidence, Motions to Reopen, Appeals, and Audits.
Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate regularly on case strategies.
Participate in client webinars and on-site meetings as required.
Oversee case status using case management and billing systems.
Run reports and provide updates in a team environment.
Engage in continuous training on visa petitions and applications.
Requirements
Barred and legally eligible to practice law in the United States.
Minimum three years of experience in business immigration with NIV and IV matters.
Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for business visas.
Client service mindset with attention to detail and high productivity.
Experience in high volume practice and paralegal management preferred.
Proficiency in immigration databases, data entry, and MS Excel/Outlook.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Licensed to practice law in the United States.
