The
Manager, Procurement Packaging
will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the overall sourcing strategy for Simply Good’s packaging materials. The role is responsible for creating sustainable supply relationships that ensure Simply Good’s cost, quality, and service metrics are achieved. Key activities include monitoring and analyzing market trends, managing supplier relationships, and leading and developing talent. The Procurement Manager, Packaging will also collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to activate initiatives that will drive growth and improve operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies tor packaging categories, ensuring cost, quality, and service metrics are achieved
Monitor global market trends and provide insights to guide procurement decisions and mitigate supply chain risks
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and continuous improvement
Negotiate contracts including pricing, terms and conditions, to secure the best value for the company; ensuring adequate supply contracted to support business needs
Update financial forecasts and contract management systems as new pricing agreements are finalized
Support Materials Planning and Operations teams to resolve sustaining supply issues
Ensure supplier compliance with all Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory requirements
Identify and lead productivity and cost‑savings initiatives from inception to completion
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support new product development and innovation launches
Drive sustainability initiatives with suppliers that support Simply Good’s overall sustainability agenda
Cultivate team culture rooted in ownership, transparency, and accountability
Coach direct report on leadership and technical skills development and providing feedback as necessary
May be assigned to provide support for other categories or initiatives within Supply Chain as necessary
KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Strong analytical and decision‑making skills
Building strong peer and stakeholder relationships
Ability to manage complex data, ambiguity, and uncertainty when making decisions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree, required, in Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Business, or related technical field. MBA or Graduate degree, preferred
5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, sourcing, purchasing, packaging management, and driving strong supplier performance
Knowledge of and experience with global procurement and sourcing processes
2+ years leading and developing high‑performing teams
Procurement experience in CPG (Food/Beverage) company required
Proven experience with negotiations and enforcement of supplier agreement/contracts
Strong financial understanding of P&L with a track record of driving results for bottom line profit
Proficient in navigating change and ambiguity, identifying and driving solutions forward

In this spirit, we are excited to share the available compensation for this role, which includes a base salary range and an annual short‑term incentive. Additionally, this position is eligible for a 15% annual short‑term incentive. If you are hired at Simply Good Foods, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that hiring at the compensation range maximum would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
OFFICE‑BASED CO salary range is: $110,000 – $125,000
