Job Summary
To assist in moving materials as required from the warehousing area to various departments and Production and Packaging as well as from Production and Packaging back to the Warehouse. In addition, general warehouse duties such as material movement, shipping, receiving, and storing functions.
Area Of Responsibility
Under Extensive Supervision
- Perform the physical tasks involved in material movement, receiving, shipping and storing of all materials.
- Utilize SAP to accurately reflect physical storage and maintain physical accuracy of all components and raw materials.
- Pick/Put away material in designated system locations.
- Use power equipment’s such as forklift, stand ups and other devices used in warehouse environment to load, unload, move, stack and transfer materials.
- Follow SOPs and safety policies.
- Demonstrate GMP and GDP (Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices).
- Unpack and check materials received against Purchase order/invoice, maintain record of received goods and inform Manager if any discrepancies are found in received printed packaging.
Work Conditions
- Noise: Sufficient noise, either constant or intermittent, to cause marked distraction or possible injury to sense of hearing.
- Fumes: Smoky or vaporous emissions, usually odorous, thrown off as the result of combustion or chemical reaction.
- Odors: Unpleasant smells.
- Gases: Examples include carbon monoxide and ozone.
- Dust: Airborne particles of any kind, such as textile dust, wood, and silica.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and bend.
- Must be capable of bending and lifting, moving and/or carrying up to approximately 50 - 75 pounds.
- Must be able to move pallets/equipment weighing about 100 -300 pounds using suitable moving equipment such as pallet jacks / Hi-Lo.
- Must have the ability to navigate office, lab, warehouse and/or plant floor working environments, stands, ambulates, and reaches.
- Must have the ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment utilized at the site, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses/goggles, and safety shoes.
Education and Job Qualification
- Minimum of High School/Trade School/Vocational School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge in operating essential Receiving Equipment.
- Able to function basic SAP transactions.
- Able to perform CTPAT inspection to include calibration of weighing machine.
- Able to drive all trucks including turret, standup, and sit down.
- Able to perform cycle counts by inputting counted quantities via Teklogic cycle counting interface.
- Knowledge regarding material destruction.
- Able to learn how to calibrate weighing machines.
- Limited trouble shooting skills.
- Able to use power equipment such as forklift and other devices used in the warehouse environment to load, unload, move, stack, and transfer materials.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The requirement for English language proficiency for this job role is Basic – A2 (comparable to Global CEFR Basic A2) level based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Experience
- Entry level position, previous experience not required.
- Experience on fork truck operations and use a plus.
