Why This Job – SENIOR ACCOUNTING ANALYST: In this position, you will collaborate within a compact team with a well-established company, renowned nationally and in the Denver area as one of the premier employers. In this well-rounded role, you will gain knowledge and have the opportunity to hone your accounting skills while participating in or leading special projects. You'll actively engage in or take charge of special projects, encompassing tasks such as documenting crucial processes, providing support for rate cases, performing financial analysis, generating ad hoc reports, and driving process improvement initiatives.
What You'll Actually Do:
Work closely with your business group to effectively manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, as well as associated financial reporting
Work within your team and other business areas to continue to automate and create more effective processes
Document key processes of supported areas to ensure consistency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Provide financial analysis and support to management for the annual budget process
Deliver prompt and precise assistance and guidance to clients in supported business areas, utilizing effective oral and written communication skills
Undertake ad hoc projects as needed
To be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of experience in public accounting and industry, or 3 years straight in public audit
CPA, MBA or higher
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
Alteryx, Power BI, or similar data analytics software is a plus
Intellectual curiosity, highly professional, ready to grow your career
Where and How Much:
Hybrid Schedule – 3 days in Downtown office
