Key Account Supervisor – Marine Elevators KONE

is a global leader in elevators, escalators and building doors, and supports sustainable and innovative solutions worldwide. The Marine Key Account Supervisor will be based in Davie, FL, managing a field service team, driving customer satisfaction, and supporting business development.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage and control field service operations in the assigned area, ensuring alignment with service contract requirements and KONE policies.

Act as the first point of contact for technicians and customers regarding technical or operational issues.

Drive results through a team of direct reports, ensuring customer satisfaction via quality of service and clear communication.

Manage complex logistics for technicians, resolving travel issues for cancelled or postponed flights that could delay work.

Leverage marine elevator industry knowledge to participate in complex customer deals and maintain strong customer relationships.

Support business development by maintaining sales lead volume, quality, and processing for sales teams.

Resolve complex customer service quality complaints, conducting root cause analysis and coordinating across business areas.

Resolve invoicing complaints related to service and maintenance operations, reconciling financial information from multiple sources.

Ensure end‑user, site and technician safety.

Deliver service per customer contract requirements, deadlines, KONE quality standards and local regulations.

Control costs at field operations to preserve margin and revenue targets.

Manage third‑party inspections and travel on‑site for inspections and follow‑up actions.

Validate all customer technical requirements with sales teams.

Maintain foreign equipment in shipyards for repairs, identifying assignment conflicts.

Close open conflicts and react to stopped equipment or safety issues.

Review service repair invoices outside standard practices, ensuring timely completion of planned maintenance visits.

Plan maintenance scheduling and optimize routing.

Perform site audits and investigate accidents in accordance with company policy.

Control and authorize overtime.

Assign product and service warranty after modernization or service work.

Monitor technician performance, objectives, and create corrective action plans.

Approve timesheets and manage technician hours, absences, and backup assignments.

Balance technician workload and align with future capacity and revenue targets.

Travel 25% international and domestic as required.

Supervise 5-10 direct reports, including Service Engineers and Elevator Technicians.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electro‑Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and minimum 3 years experience in the elevator or people‑movement industry.

Alternatively, 7 years experience in the industry without a degree.

Professional experience in reading and interpreting marine elevator diagrams, inventory management for European spare parts, overseeing European elevator inspections, working with marine customers in the cruise ship and shipyard industries, applying EN81‑20 codes, and exhibiting strong finance, quality, and risk‑mitigation skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
