Responsibilities

Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing them for examination.

Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.

Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing notes.

Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.

Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow‑up appointments.

Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms and stocking supplies.

Maintain laboratory equipment through cleaning and autoclaving instruments.

Other duties as assigned to the back office.

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).

Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Medical Assistant training required.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience as a medical assistant in a medical office.

Prior dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Strong phone etiquette.

Teamwork skills.

Professional appearance and mannerisms.

Compassionate and caring toward patients and coworkers.

Ability to prioritize tasks and seek guidance when needed.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience with electronic medical records.

Equipment Operated Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.

Physical Requirements Manual dexterity to operate office machines, stowing files, handling sharps, and chemicals; stooping, bending, and mobility for errands and deliveries.
