Job Description The function of the Maintenance and Construction Services Supervisor is to improve workforce productivity, make safety and quality enhancements, and maintain estimates and schedules. This will be achieved by anticipating, communicating, and eliminating potential delays, obstacles, and schedule conflicts. The role has supervisory responsibilities over personnel in the maintenance and construction organization—including tradespeople and other technical personnel. Within the role, the supervisor will act as the primary liaison for cross‑functional customers and be the point person for day‑to‑day activities of the maintenance and construction skilled trades employees. The role will also be responsible for collecting, compiling, organizing, and reporting department‑related KPIs.

Responsibilities

Supervisory responsibility for maintenance or construction functions, including performance evaluation, talent acquisition, succession planning, training, talent development, and performance management.

Provides direct oversight to employees/staff personnel performing functions within the maintenance or construction environment.

Conducts field observations and reviews work requests to determine exact requirements and priority.

Enforces compliance with all policies and procedures, including safety and quality requirements and regulatory bodies such as OSHA, FDA, EPA, etc.

Reviews and approves construction cost estimates for trade‑specific projects, and is accountable for estimate accuracy.

Monitors frequency and accuracy of work, ensuring timely completion and meeting project estimates or customer commitments.

Performs special projects as directed by management, such as reports, evaluating process problems to determine solutions, auditing work techniques, and other miscellaneous duties.

Ensures good customer service by effectively communicating work status to customers and sharing adequate job information with other work groups when passing work to another group.

Demonstrates a high level of cooperation with other personnel and actively seeks to improve methods and work processes, thereby increasing productivity, reducing cost, and increasing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience, or a technical degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience.

3+ years of leadership experience, either as a formal people leader or as a cross‑functional team/project lead.

Understanding of the setup, use, repair, and replacement of all I/O or BAS controlled systems, including but not limited to: current‑to‑pressure transducers, controller boards, actuators, valves, dampers, electric pressure switches, pressure current sensors, temperature to current sensors, and humidity to current sensors.

Knowledge of the HVAC/R validation/commissioning process.

Certification by the Federal EPA for operation of refrigerant reclaiming equipment and for proper usage and disposal of all refrigerants is desired.

Strong oral/written communication skills and presentation experience.

Technical expertise (engineering, maintenance, construction, etc.) is strongly desired.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.

Planning and organizational skills.

Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, one‑line diagrams, etc.

Comfortable with advanced functions of the Microsoft Office suite.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
