What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Develop and maintain executive relationships to drive contract compliance and expand Grainger's presence as the primary MRO provider
Negotiate and implement profitable agreements with customers and sales resources
Conduct comprehensive market analysis to determine focus areas and develop segment strategies
Collaborate with internal business partners to understand customer needs and drive engagement
Participate in industry events and training to expand knowledge and contacts within the government sector
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in sales team leadership
Previous experience as a District Sales Manager in the government marketplace
BS/BA required; MBA preferred
Proven track record of establishing strong relationships and executing strategies
Ability to travel 50-70% nationwide and reside in a major metro market (Airport Hub)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in winning large complex contract negotiations
Familiarity with selling to the Department of Defense
Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and understand financial models
Strategic and innovative mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills
