What You Will Do
Assist physicians with instruments during surgical procedures in the operating room.
Meet standards of practice, manage supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory for all instruments.
Coordinate instrumentation and surgical supplies, and assist in surgical suite preparation for a variety of cases, including trauma.
Apply knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile environments, instrument care and handling.
Work as a team player to support the needs of the surgical team.
Qualifications
Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training.
Certification in Surgical Technology or verifiable experience prior to 9/1/2009.
Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred: 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience.
