The Tinder Integrity team safeguards Tinder and its members with systems, algorithms, and policies. It comprises engineers, ML practitioners, product managers, analysts, and policy experts. Our Anti Abuse team proactively identifies, investigates, and mitigates abuse, designing automated signals and algorithms to target bad actors at scale. We work cross-functionally to support safety initiatives. Where you’ll work
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three times per week in Los Angeles. You will need
5+ years of experience on complex abuse-adjacent problems (Trust & Safety, cybersecurity, fraud, or risk) with a track record of ownership and impact Proficiency in Python for automating detection workflows, data manipulation, and analysis Strong SQL skills and experience with big data tools like Spark (or similar) Hands-on experience building and productionizing large-scale detection systems, optimizing for performance and scalability Experience building dashboards or visualizations with Mode, Tableau, or similar tools Deep knowledge of abuse threat actors and evasion tactics, with scalable detection/remediation model experience Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams Exceptional communication and presentation skills, especially to executive audiences Nice to have
BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, or related field Professional experience creating and maintaining algorithms Knowledge of persistent scaled abuse threat actors Experience uncovering indicators of abuse and applying creative mitigation strategies Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members As a full-time employee, you’ll enjoy
