Salary Range: $20.94 - 26.16 an hour

JOB SUMMARY

The Nursing Clinical Placement Coordinator (Coordinator III) is responsible for supporting the nursing clinical placements team and processes for the Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing in the Morrison Family College of Health. Primary responsibilities include verification of clinical requirements for students and faculty, providing collaboration and support to the MFCOH compliance office and MFCOH faculty/staff, and maintaining current knowledge of institutional and professional policies for clinical education. Attend coordination meetings for clinical placements as needed. The Nursing Clinical Placement Coordinator will work across SON programs to support completion of affiliation agreements, including communication with stakeholders. The Nursing Clinical Placement Coordinator reports to the Program Manager, Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Clinical Placement

Communicates and documents compliance with onboarding and other requirements at each clinical placement site for students and faculty. Requirements may include orientation, training, and documentation. Provides support to the clinical placement specialists and compliance office where appropriate.

Tracks clinical attendance and supports scheduling make‑up experiences.

Supports assigning clinical placements for all nursing students.

Works in required clinical placement software platforms for the prelicensure programs. Documents and tracks the history of placements for students, courses and adjuncts.

Maintains a clinical education operating framework outlining the mission, purpose, and objectives of the clinical partners as well as a description of all clinical placement policies and procedures for Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing faculty, students and partners. Collaborates with faculty and key stakeholders on a regular basis, and as needed, to update and revise the operating framework.

Serves as a resource to faculty and students to answer questions about compliance with site requirements and expectations.

Facilitates and attends meetings with clinical affiliation agencies and key stakeholders as needed.

Coordinates with assistant director of nursing simulation education and clinical placement specialists for clinical scheduling.

Assists with monitoring updated university policies and practices concerning clinical education.

Attend and represent the Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing at regional (and other) coordination meetings for clinical placements as needed.

Affiliation Agreement and Contract Management

Provides support to the Compliance Office for affiliation agreements and database/spreadsheet maintenance as needed.

Regularly reviews clinical affiliation agreements and seeks renewals. Facilitates external communication for new and expiring affiliation agreements.

Program Knowledge

Maintains knowledge and understanding of programs to support clinical placements to internal and external stakeholders.

Interfaces with students and faculty to ensure compliance with university and healthcare facility requirements.

File Management and Accreditation Compliance

In collaboration with the Compliance Office and Clinical Placement Specialists, supports the creation and maintenance of records related to contracts, students, faculty licensure, policies, and other areas as needed for regulatory compliance.

Maintains database of clinical placement assignments, schedules, and required student and faculty documentation to include background checks and health records.

Assists with preparing annual and periodic reports relating to clinical placements.

Facilitates management of records needed for evaluation of programs.

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or the equivalent

Four years of administrative support experience

Preferred Qualifications

BA or BS degree

One to three years' experience in health, education, and/or a regulatory/compliance setting

Professional level experience working with students, faculty, and external stakeholders

Experience in higher education
