This is a full‑time position, Monday‑Friday, hours are generally 8:30 am – 5 pm (may need to flex a little earlier or stay a little later). This position is based at our downtown hospital's Occupational & Employee Health location, but will have to travel to community events and to our Lutherville Occupational & Employee Health practice from time to time.
Responsibilities
Triaging patients who present with work‑related injuries
Monitoring clinic flow to ensure patients are seen in a timely fashion
Referral scheduling and authorizations
Patient education
Support MA staff as needed
Various other duties as directed by management and clinical supervisors
Requirements Education and Work Experience:
Must possess a degree from an accredited nursing school – Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
One or more years experience in emergency room or occupational health facility, etc.
License Requirements:
Registered Nurse – Maryland Board of Nursing License
Certification Requirements:
CPR
Age Specific Care Provided For:
Adolescents
Adults
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech (if applicable), Epic (if applicable), Performance Manager/NetLearning
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public
Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
Must possess skills in critical thinking and prioritization
