We're seeking an experienced, mission‑driven Vice President of Engineering to lead and scale Rezilient's technical organization. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned engineering leader who has grown high‑performing teams within health‑tech, digital health, or care delivery technology environments, and who thrives at the intersection of technology, clinical operations, and organizational growth.
As VP of Engineering, you'll guide the continued evolution of Rezilient's core technology platform, which powers care delivery across our expanding CloudClinic network. You'll oversee all facets of engineering, from cloud architecture, feature shipment, and data engineering to interoperability, infrastructure, and security, ensuring the systems we build deeply align with the clinical workflows, data models, and people that define our care experience.
This role sits on Rezilient's senior leadership team and will be instrumental in shaping not only the company's technical direction but also the culture, structure, and standards that enable innovation, velocity, and scalable impact.
Key Responsibilities Engineering Strategy & Delivery
Define and execute a technical roadmap aligned with Rezilient's business and clinical strategy, ensuring priorities directly advance company goals, patient experience, and partner outcomes
Architect and evolve scalable systems supporting our Rezilient platform, balancing rapid iteration and feature delivery velocity with long‑term reliability, security, and data integrity
Translate business needs into actionable engineering plans with clear milestones, KPIs, and accountability
Drive execution excellence across sprints and releases, enabling high velocity without compromising quality
Partner with Product and Clinical leaders to deliver features that meaningfully enhance care delivery and patient experience across care management, direct primary care, and specialty network integration
Technical Leadership & Innovation
Serve as Rezilient's top engineering authority, setting standards for architecture, infrastructure, and software craftsmanship
Drive continued iteration, feature growth and scalability of Rezilient's production application with React and Node.js
Lead design of systems that enable data interoperability and clinical integration, including EHR connectivity (FHIR/HL7)
Oversee DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and maintenance, ensuring uptime, scalability, and performance across environments
Build Rezilient's Data Engineering and Warehousing capabilities to power analytics, insights, and future AI applications
Introduce emerging technologies, from AI to automation and data intelligence, to strengthen reliability, speed, and clinical impact
Stay hands‑on when needed through architecture reviews, complex debugging, and deep technical mentorship
Team Development
Build and scale an engineering organization, growing from a small, high‑impact team to a structured, scalable function
Mentor and develop leaders across Software, DevOps, and Data disciplines, fostering ownership, clarity, and accountability
Foster a collaborative, team‑based approach where Product Managers, Clinicians, Engineers, and Operations partner to deliver whole‑person care
Create a culture of curiosity and excellence where engineers move fast, build well, and stay connected to the mission
Implement transparent frameworks for performance, growth, and feedback that promote both technical and professional development
Cross‑Functional & Business Alignment
Partner with Product, Clinical Operations, and Finance to align engineering initiatives with company and operational goals
Act as a key strategic partner to the executive team, guiding decisions through technical feasibility, scalability, and impact
Translate technical trade‑offs into clear business terms and align teams around shared outcomes
Collaborate with Product on launch planning and iteration to ensure seamless rollouts and continuous improvement
Serve as the bridge between technical and non‑technical teams, making complex systems understandable and actionable
Infrastructure, Data, & Compliance
Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance that meet enterprise‑grade expectations
Build scalable DevOps pipelines, CI/CD frameworks, and cloud systems for efficient, secure deployment
Balance innovation with stability through proactive management of technical debt and infrastructure investments
Maintain compliance across HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST and healthcare security standards, embedding privacy and reliability into every layer
Communication & Thought Leadership
Evolve Rezilient's engineering operating model as the team and company scale
Communicate clearly across Engineers, Clinicians, Executives, and Investors, blending technical depth with strategic vision
Represent Rezilient externally as a technology‑driven healthcare leader, strengthening our reputation with partners, investors, and industry peers
Reinforce a mission‑driven mindset across the team, connecting every system and feature to its real‑world impact on patient care
Requirements
10‑15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership roles (Director, VP, or equivalent)
Proven success scaling teams in high‑growth, Series A‑C environments
Expertise with the Agile Development Framework and ideally, with the Atlassian set of tools (Jira and Confluence)
Expertise in Javascript/Typescript to develop and scale production level applications using React
Expertise in developing and scaling production level applications using Node.js and Express, with experience implementing RESTful APIs
Strong technical foundation in scaling AWS cloud architecture and DevOps for production level applications
Deep familiarity with healthcare technology, including EHR/EMR integrations, interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7), and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST)
Deep familiarity with implementing and scaling integrations for labs, imaging and prescriptions
Deep familiarity with architecting, implementing, integrating with, and scaling databases (SQL) and data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) to support production applications, drive downstream operational analytics, and enable production ML/AI use‑cases
Expertise in leveraging code versioning tools, such as Git, to scale development in production level applications
Experience incorporating AI tools into software development workflows to improve efficiency and quality while maintaining security and intellectual property
