Tulane University School of Medicine, Section of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Geriatric physician to join our expanding academic program. This is an outstanding opportunity for physicians interested in delivering compassionate, high-quality geriatric care while teaching the next generation of physicians in one of the nation’s most culturally vibrant cities. About the Section of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine The Section of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Tulane University is dedicated to advancing health care and quality of life for older people and those with serious illnesses.
Geriatrics: Our geriatric team partners closely with primary care physicians and specialists across Tulane Medicine — including cardiology, oncology, neurology, transplant, and trauma. Faculty provide specialized consultation for frail, older adults with complex, chronic, or life‑threatening conditions such as dementia and delirium.
Palliative Medicine: Our palliative care team delivers patient- and family-centered care that improves quality of life for those facing life-limiting illnesses by anticipating, preventing, and treating suffering. Services are offered inpatient, outpatient, and in local nursing homes.
Position Highlights
Provide inpatient and outpatient geriatric consultations with a focus on complex, vulnerable populations.
Collaborate with primary care providers and subspecialists across Tulane Medicine.
Actively teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
Engage in quality improvement, program development, and research through the Tulane Center for Aging.
Work alongside palliative care colleagues in a section committed to academic growth and whole‑person care.
