Primary Purpose Meets performance objectives for assigned programs or territories by providing superior customer service to prospective students from the point of inquiry through enrollment, resulting in student engagement and retention.

Hiring Range $47,000 annually

Essential Job Functions

Develop prospects from current students, faculty, referral leads, conferences, educational fairs, career days, campus tours, or special events.

Contact prospective students to present information and/or explain available programs and services; communicate admission requirements, program offerings, curriculum, and basic financial aid information by various means.

Determine students’ educational needs and prepare proposals to address those needs.

Handle and process inquiries timely and accurately.

Assist applicants in completing application and enrollment documents.

Provide outreach to applicants throughout their journey up through enrollment and coordinate transition to enrolled student status.

Conduct a preliminary review of applicant files, evaluate transcripts, grades, curriculum, letters of recommendation, essays, extracurricular activities; transfer file to admission committee or reviewer and update information in the university database.

Reject applicants who do not meet minimum program requirements.

Schedule and participate in student interviews.

Guide faculty interview teams on evaluation processes and legal guidelines to ensure compliance with non‑discrimination regulations.

Prepare reports of activities and tracking of prospects, applications, and student outcomes up to and including enrollment.

Manage yield strategies for prospects and applicants; collaborate with admissions, academic advisers, and financial aid officers to ensure a smooth transition from inquiry to enrollment.

Develop and maintain a network of relationships with alumni, students, business community, government agencies, healthcare facilities, professional organizations, student groups, and colleges to increase enrollment.

Maintain knowledge of program requirements, course sequencing, and relationships with program faculty.

Make presentations on programs and admissions to attract new students.

Coordinate or participate in promotional activities, including conferences, educational fairs, career days, campus tours, or special events.

Attend college and/or NSU events to promote programs and create awareness.

Serve in a public relations capacity at professional, civic, and business functions.

Identify main client groups and audiences and determine best communication strategies.

Research, develop, and implement recruiting strategies for specific market segments.

Monitor industry statistics and trends via trade literature.

Measure and assess customer satisfaction.

Forecast and track marketing and enrollment trends, analyzing collected data.

Maintain student data integrity and confidentiality.

Serve on one or more committees as assigned.

Manage travel expenses in accordance with policies.

Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Digital Media:

Working knowledge of digital media production, communication, and dissemination techniques.

Understanding principles of providing customer service and evaluating user satisfaction.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

Ability to lift and hold a minimum of 50 pounds.

Valid driver’s license with reliable local transportation.

Required Certifications / Licenses Valid driver’s license.

Required Education Bachelor’s degree.

Required Experience One (1) year of student services‑related experience.

Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English – Spanish).
