Associate Product Manager – Genesis Products
Join the Genesis Products team as an Associate Product Manager. You will partner with the Product Director, Operations & Sales to define the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for products and/or product lines. You are the champion of a product and will lead cross‑functional teams from conception through launch.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Market Insight: become the product category expert for the Decorative Surfaces offering, translate voice of customer input, and build a competitive and trend radar.
Product Development Process: drive projects through the Product Development Process (PDP), own cross‑functional timelines, coordinate launch assets, and participate in commercialization strategy efforts.
Décor Stewardship & Color/Finish Integrity: manage collections, review color/texture matches, and pass a color‑acuity assessment.
Business & Portfolio Management: monitor lifecycle performance, drive cost‑outs and SKU rationalization, and manage vendor programs within the Genesis‑Funder portfolio.
Field, Customer & Spec Engagement: partner with regional sales managers, maintain a sample and literature library, and attend relevant trade shows to present product stories.
Required Qualifications
BS degree in Business, Engineering, Materials/Design, or related field.
3–6 years product management, marketing, or adjacent industrial/commercial experience (surfaces, laminates, furniture, building materials preferred).
Demonstrated project ownership within a stage‑gate or PDP environment with on‑time delivery of cross‑functional milestones.
Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel or equivalent) for business cases, margin/cost modeling, and forecasting.
Excellent communication skills, able to distill complex technical and commercial information for executives, sales, and specifiers.
Detail orientation, organized, and process‑driven with comfort in fast‑paced environments.
Color acuity sufficient to evaluate décor/finish matches (willing to complete a color‑vision test).
Location: Winston‑Salem, NC. Salary: $28.05–$42.10 per hour.
