Overview Pediatrix is seeking a highly skilled and motivated BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to join our growing healthcare team at Timpanogos Regional Hospital, part of the MountainStar Children’s Network in Orem, UT. This role offers hands‑on pediatric ICU and floor experience, along with unique outdoor lifestyle in Utah.
Where You’ll Practice
Combined 8‑bed pediatric floor and 4‑bed community‑based PICU
Average daily census of 4‑6 combined PICU/pediatric patients (average 2 floor patients per day)
Average 300 combined annual admissions
What You Can Expect
3 physician practice with shared responsibilities
24/7 split coverage of both units with morning rounds and call from home
Good work‑life balance, averaging 10.5 days of call per month (weekends and holidays shared equally)
1‑2 outpatient sedations per week, primarily for MRIs (will train)
Focus solely on pediatric and PICU care (no newborn coverage)
Occasional tele‑consults with a satellite inpatient unit in Ogden, UT
Support to a large collegial network of primary care pediatricians
Close collaboration with pediatric subspecialty providers (cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, anesthesia, orthopedic surgery, craniofacial/plastic surgery, otolaryngology, interventional radiology)
The hospital includes a robust Level III NICU staffed by Pediatrix neonatologists
Comprehensive pediatric programs with nutrition, child life, case management, and administration support
