General Function The individual in this role sets the overall strategic direction for a digital channel or product and follows through with the execution of that strategy. This senior manager must have deep digital experience and significant product‑management experience. Channel management includes mobile apps, browser, wearable, and Internet of Things (IoT) channels. Product management encompasses digital sales/account opening, authentication, account information, money movement, self‑service and related functions.

The Senior Digital Product or Channel Manager must champion key initiatives, gaining buy‑in from IT, line‑of‑business, key control functions, and other stakeholders. The senior manager is fully responsible for the performance of the product or channel, including customer adoption and feedback, while ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience and comply with risk management policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop channel and/or product strategy, related roadmaps, and manage the execution of initiatives to support the strategy.

Lead ongoing digital services awareness and adoption efforts.

Manage vendors, including vendor selection, relationship development, pricing terms, SLA management, and ongoing vendor relationship management.

Represent and act as the subject‑matter expert for online and mobile banking activities for the channel and services provided.

Identify and anticipate emerging technology, customer insights, industry trends, and overall customer behavior trends to ensure world‑class online and mobile offerings.

Act as business lead on product‑development initiatives with Voice of the Customer, business requirements definition, user‑flow design, and user experience, providing subject‑matter expertise across all lines of business.

Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (Marketing, IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and others) to develop products and channel solutions that meet consumer and business needs.

Define operational risks associated with digital delivery initiatives and articulate the impact to customers and respective lines of business.

Supervisory Responsibilities Provide employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; develop employees to their fullest potential; build an appropriate talent pool for bench strength and succession planning; and recognize and reward employees for accomplishments.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.

7+ years digital product/channel management; 5+ years general product management experience.

Customer‑centric attitude with accompanying customer‑advocate behaviors.

Analytic discipline and rigor.

Proven experience leading, developing, and growing employees.

Quick adapter—able to pivot when needed.

Ability to influence without authority.

Excellent communication skills.

Benefits and Compensation The base salary is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. The role is eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
