Job Overview We are looking for an experienced, high‑energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside a multi‑disciplinary team to conduct field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages.

Responsibilities

Layout and design of HVAC systems.

Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, precise temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization or cleanliness requirements for clean‑room applications.

Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.

Produce final design documents, specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layouts, and final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, and related systems.

Coordinate with other disciplines.

Qualifications

Professional Engineering License.

At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.

Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.

Ideal Qualifications

Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.

Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.
