Position Purpose Administers and configures software and infrastructure services on the cloud platform (e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure). Manages cloud infrastructure as code, automates deployment and administration, and ensures the security of cloud components. Works with the DevOps team to manage upgrades, enhancements, and software migrations to drive successful deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications.
Responsibilities
Administers and supports cloud-based environments.
Executes code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure based on standards and best‑practices.
Develops monitoring solutions that give greater visibility into performance and reliability of cloud environments.
Communicates regularly with Development, Network, and Security groups and integrates their requirements into all environment build plans.
Builds and maintains capacity plans to include cloud-based deployments.
Develops and implements technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications under the direction of lead architects, including large‑scale data processing and advanced analytics.
Delivers continuous integration and delivery pipeline and standards by enabling common DevSecOps tooling in cloud environments and providing development teams with the ability to execute builds, run tests, and deploy in an automated fashion.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Education & Experience To be considered, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 0–2 years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments that reflect the level of this position. Completion of a Centene‑sponsored emerging talent program is also acceptable.
Technical Skills
Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C, Scala, Python, Erlang, Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, and Cloud Foundry.
Experience with infrastructure automation languages such as Shell scripting, Python, and Golang.
Experience with configuration management software such as Ansible and AWS Systems Manager.
Experience with networking and firewall concepts and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
Curiosity about AI, developer platforms, and automation.
Experience with Terraform.
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast‑evolving cloud ecosystem.
Soft Skills
Beginner‑level knowledge in area of specialty.
Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Compensation Pay Range: $30.00 – $54.03 per hour.
