Overview
Client is seeking talented individuals for a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialist to support our 787 Quality team in North Charleston, SC. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience are required. Must submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission.
Position Responsibilities
Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment
Performs tests or inspections and collects data
Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations
Utilizes technical competencies to provide feedback on adverse trends
Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products
Conducts on-the-job training (OJT)
Adheres to Boeing policies, processes and major inspection methods procedures
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review
Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review
Must submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission
Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtime
Capable of working in confined spaces
3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Penetrant and/or Magnetic Particle and/or Radiography Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review
Able to work from heights up to 55 feet
Experience analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans
Digital radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle experience
Able to fit through a 10'' X 18'' oval opening
Experience inspecting composite material
3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques
Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies
