Responsibilities
Provide support for students and employees of ESCC in the ESCC Business Office.
Work with the State System of Services (SSC) to process payrolls for college personnel, including related reconciliation and reporting activities.
Update and maintain all employee information in the Commonwealth of Virginia payroll system.
Serve as cashier for receiving and posting all revenues, compiling daily cash settlement reports with preparation of corresponding deposits.
Post federal receipts and disbursements to the automated accounting system.
Work with the Technical College Center (TCC) on preparation of financial aid reconciliation and disbursement of awards.
Handle accounts receivable billings for tuition and fees.
Daily print and distribute various reports from SIS and AIS.
Manage records.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with numerical data.
Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations.
Skills in computer software, including MS Office products.
Excellent public relations skills.
Ability to adapt to a variety of work requirements with time restrictions, prioritize and work independently.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience in an office environment required.
Experience with the use of Microsoft Office products.
