Job Overview The Hubbell Rotation Program is an entry‑level program for recent college graduates aimed toward accelerated exposure and knowledge to our business and various skills within the company. Rotations can range from manufacturing/operations, design, engineering, sales & marketing, finance, IT, HR, supply chain, etc. Each rotation functions within certain business units, focusing on areas depending on the needs of the company and the interest of the employee. The program is 3 years in length and requires relocation to 3 Hubbell facilities, all located in the United States.
A Day In The Life All HRP employees report to Hubbell’s Campus Program Manager for the first three years, but receive day‑to‑day assignments from local management based on location. The individual will be assigned to a variety of tasks under general supervision. A structured learning plan allows the opportunity to grow professionally through trainings alongside each rotation. Each individual will also have a mentor assigned, monthly meetings with other program participants, and monthly 1:1s with the Campus Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees while maximizing process flexibility through cross‑training
Reviews production costs and suggests production and inventory control profiles to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the team
Monitors production quality and ensures compliance to standards. Actively pursues an environment that promotes quality excellence
Contributes relevant metrics for daily/weekly team review. Continuously reviews and redefines metrics to maximize group performance
Stays abreast of Lean manufacturing principles and adopts right‑sized solutions for manufacturing flow
Monitors department variance and labor efficiencies and supports facility efficiency when needed through personnel sharing
Recommends budgets to management
Evaluates supplier supply chains to identify and mitigate risk
Reviews customer specifications to help Project Managers identify compliance and savings opportunities
Coordinates and identifies operational and sourcing synergies
Other duties as assigned
What will help you thrive in this role?
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Operations, Engineering or other related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Ability to exercise independent judgment and leadership
Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Share Point
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
