Technical Writer – Telecom and Cyber Policy Evaluation Project (Short-Term Consultant)

ZemiTek seeks a Technical Writer to support an ongoing independent evaluation of 5G/Open RAN engagements funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy (CDP) under the Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP). This role is critical in producing precise, compliant, and high‑quality written deliverables that communicate complex findings related to telecommunications policy, 5G/Open RAN security, and international ICT development assistance.

Responsibilities
Create clear, concise, and technically accurate written materials, including evaluation reports, executive summaries, and policy briefs.
Edit and proofread all project deliverables to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
Work collaboratively with evaluators, policy experts, and project leads to ensure content meets technical and analytical standards required by CDP.
Conduct quality‑assurance checks on all written and graphical content to ensure accuracy and alignment with the evaluation design and findings.
Maintain and update technical documentation, incorporating feedback from the client, evaluation team, and stakeholders.
Manage document version control to track revisions, approvals, and submission milestones.
Support preparation of final reports, PowerPoint briefs, and public‑facing summaries that synthesize findings and lessons learned for policymakers.
Ensure sensitive or classified information is handled according to U.S. Government guidelines and project security requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least five (5) years of technical writing experience.
Experience documenting project findings, creating reports, and handling communication materials.
Strong understanding of technical concepts and tools.
Ability to guarantee documentation accuracy and consistency.
Experience preparing evaluation reports for U.S. Government audiences.
