Job Description The Commercial Real Estate Senior Portfolio Manager manages portfolio risk by ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of all credit actions. Responsibilities include providing guidance on credit structure and risk rating decisions, participating in pre‑flight discussions, coordinating work with Credit, Loan Administration, and other groups, and promoting consistent quality and conciseness of credit documents. The role oversees a team of Credit Analysts, directing and coordinating internal credit workflow, providing training, keeping portfolios audit‑ready, allocating resources, and promoting efficiency and uniformity.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Seven to ten years of commercial lending experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Commercial Real Estate underwriting experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of commercial lending policy, government agency compliance (Reg B, H, O, etc.), all applicable laws and regulations, credit quality standards, company and business line policies and procedures
Advanced knowledge of credit products
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong leadership ability to mentor and coordinate the work of others
Well‑developed written communication and verbal presentation skills
