Outpatient Vascular Neurology CE (Clinical Assistant Professor / Clinical Associate Professor) Position within the Division of Stroke in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University, specifically the Clinician Educator Line.

Location Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA

Position Overview The Division seeks a board-eligible or board-certified vascular neurologist to serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor. The role focuses on the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative responsibilities, and scholarship appropriate to the programmatic needs of the department.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for the Stanford Stroke Clinic.

Attend four half-days of stroke clinic per week at Stanford (Monday and Friday) and 1–2 stroke clinic sessions per week at Tri‑Valley.

Perform inpatient vascular neurology/neurohospitalist service at Tri‑Valley for approximately twelve weeks, including home call for nights and weekends.

Handle acute stroke cases through the Telestroke service; clinics are cancelled during on‑service weeks.

Teach Stanford medical students, residents, and fellows.

Allocate protected time for research and other academic pursuits.

Qualifications

MD or equivalent degree.

Board‑eligible or board‑certified in vascular neurology.

Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Neurology residency and a Vascular Neurology fellowship.

Compensation Expected base pay ranges:

Clinical Assistant Professor: $245,000 – 263,000

Clinical Associate Professor: $284,000 – 302,000

Base pay is based on rank and years in rank and does not include all components of the School of Medicine faculty compensation program.
