The Role As a Front‑line resource, you will provide technical and sales support to Clinical Laboratory (CL), Transfusion Medicine (TM), and Automation sales within a territory in

East Iowa . You will drive solution implementation, offer proactive and reactive customer support, optimize laboratory configuration, and contribute to customer retention and menu expansion by partnering with Laboratory Account Managers (AMLs) and Strategic Account Executives (SAEs).

Responsibilities

Maximize customer retention by ensuring satisfaction, executing pre‑defined touch‑point plans, leading on‑site training, anticipating competitive threats, and leveraging strategic selling.

Collaborate with AML & SAE to identify and close menu expansion opportunities.

Align on and execute strategic plans with AML & SAE to retain and expand current CL and TM accounts.

Drive efficient implementation of new products with deep product knowledge and standardized Ortho processes.

Participate in troubleshooting and re‑training to resolve customer issues, collaborating with internal QuidelOrtho resources.

Provide proactive consulting and troubleshooting to optimize laboratory configuration and operation.

Coordinate with AML & SAE to execute IDN strategies and retain menu expansion.

Provide accurate forecasting and reporting via CRM, collaborating with Marketing for equipment placement opportunities.

Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

Candidate Information Required

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with Medical Technology certification or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical laboratory, transfusion medicine, or equivalent.

Industry Knowledge: Solid clinical chemistry market knowledge.

Independent Worker: Ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced, autonomous environment.

Business Acumen: Ability to uncover key business issues and provide actionable recommendations.

Communication: Advanced verbal and written skills.

Valid U.S. driver’s license in good standing.

Travel: Up to 75% overnight travel required.

Preferred

Experience within healthcare or medical device industry.

Key Working Relationships Internal

Laboratory Account Manager for sales calls.

Strategic Account Executive for IDN‑related opportunities.

CL/TM Area Technical Specialist for complex implementations.

Commercial Operations for forecasting, reporting, and enablement.

External

Customers including Laboratory Managers and Supervisors.

Work Environment Typical outside field‑based environment, requiring discipline, organization, self‑motivation, and ability to work autonomously from a home office. Must be able to travel up to 75%, lift up to 25 pounds, and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Salary Transparency Salary range: $61,000 to $98,000, with eligibility for incentive compensation. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off, and holidays.
