U.S. Secret Service invites applications for the Federal Police Officer (Uniformed Division) role in Washington, DC. The position requires relocation to Washington, DC.

Applicants may be eligible for a $50,000 recruitment incentive under regulatory requirements.
Base pay range $75,134.00/yr - $129,251.00/yr
Duties
Providing protection for the White House Complex, the Vice President's Residence, the Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of presidential, vice-presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least 20 years old and less than 37 at the time of conditional offer, unless previous service qualifies under special retirement provisions. Veteran applicants with preference must receive an offer before age 40.
Carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
Uncorrected visual acuity no worse than 20/100 binocular; corrected visual acuity 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, measured by an audiometer, not exceed 25 dB in either ear at 500, 1000, or 2000 Hz. Must hear whispered voice at 15 feet without a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and to random testing while employed.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM, and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
Register with the Selective Service System, or be exempt if male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
