Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service.
Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked, organized and well‑kept according to company standards.
Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.
Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain site image.
Apply non‑discriminatory management practices while hiring, training, counseling, motivating and separating employees.
Site Relationships
Build positive and professional relationships with all suppliers.
Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner.
Promote a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
Training and Development
Prepare on‑going and timely performance appraisals in writing for all employees.
Train all employees to ensure that customer service, site image and marketing execution meet company standards.
Train all employees on safety procedures and promote safety awareness.
Communication
Ensure that all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner.
Hold periodic communication meetings with all site employees and the market manager.
Organizing and Planning
Evaluate and develop specific action plans to address site needs and reach desired objectives.
Organize and maintain all site files and manuals.
Supervise store employees to ensure all required reports are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed attractively and priced correctly.
Maintain required employment‑related posters and signs in accessible locations.
Financial
Analyze daily sales and expense data and take actions to maximize sales and net profits.
Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage merchandise margins.
Safeguard all money received and disbursed.
Perform other financial analyses necessary to maximize profits.
Working Conditions
Work primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks such as cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, or removing trash.
Be exposed to occasional cold temperatures while supervising in walk‑in coolers or freezers.
Experience occasional noise exposure.
Work with minimal direction and supervision.
Act as an effective manager, supervisor and leader at all times.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in retail sales preferred.
Experience performing essential duties and responsibilities in conditions described.
Ability to supervise and train staff using equipment, tools and materials listed in CSR and ASM job descriptions.
Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR and ASM job descriptions.
Computer proficiency, including analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control and notice generation.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to corporate meetings.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
