Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is hiring a Construction Representative – Commercial Development located in Columbus, OH.

Pay Range:

$110,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year

Location: Columbus, OH

Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Observe and investigate construction phases for compliance with schedules, specifications, and shop drawings; identify problems, recommend changes, and assess the need for contract modifications.

Perform inspections and complete daily site reports in RMS, including comments on progress, work activities, safety issues, and subcontractor manpower.

Assist in all phases of the contract modification process, including scope preparation for RFPs, government estimates, proposal reviews, and modification documentation.

Review and analyze contractor plans and technical submittals for approval, covering progress schedules, environmental, safety, quality control programs, certifications, and shop drawings.

Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, REAs, RFIs, and other technical issues.

Prepare partial and final payment estimates, measuring and computing pay item quantities, verifying materials on hand, and determining percentage complete for lump sum items.

Monitor scheduled progress of all construction activities, advising the Resident Engineer, COR, and project team of potential slippages or delays.

Participate in RFI and submittal reviews with designers and technical experts, responding to contractors as needed.

Log and maintain data to support project management and decision-making.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED minimum; construction-related degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of applicable experience on large, complex, multimillion-dollar federal projects (DoD or USACE preferred).

Experience with RMS 3.0 preferred.

Experience with the three-phase inspection process.

Familiarity with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.

Knowledge of applicable codes such as NFPA 101, NFPA 70, IPC, NFPA 13 & 72, ASHRAE/AABC/NEBB, and other relevant construction codes and systems.
