Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $200,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting and financial functions including general accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across departments and key contracts.
Partner with operations leadership to analyze performance, identify root causes, and drive accountability.
Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
Support audits, capital planning, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives including acquisitions and ERP implementations.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in accounting or financial leadership roles.
Apply strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and support decision‑making.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization with a collaborative mindset.
Lead teams with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Maintain confidentiality and handle proprietary financial information with discretion.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CPA or MBA preferred.
Understand value stream or lean accounting principles and their application.
Show experience in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries.
Utilize SAP and Microsoft Access for data analysis and reporting.
Demonstrate fluency in English; conversational ability in another language is a plus.
