Financial Systems Administrator Manager – Job Summary The successful candidate will be the key leader responsible for operational and strategic management of the Financial Systems software portfolio and is accountable for the entire lifecycle of enterprise software, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of complex enterprise software solutions (cloud or on-premise). This role actively manages a cross‑functional team of system specialists and serves as the liaison between the Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology departments to ensure maximum utilization of all current and future licensed solutions and drive operational efficiencies across the enterprise.

The role is responsible for identifying ways to make processes more efficient, offering continuous improvement recommendations, and creating and delivering training to the finance and accounting teams.

Responsibilities

Act as the subject matter expert within the organization and provide functional consultation to management regarding capabilities of current applications, future use opportunities, break/fix, and enhancements.

Leverage knowledge of financial consolidation, eliminations, and reporting for monthly and quarterly closes.

Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills, succinctly conveying relevant information across multiple levels and cultivating relationships.

Recommend, initiate, and work on process improvements and system enhancements while ensuring data integrity.

Lead root‑cause analysis of system issues and manage remediation, including creating and managing Oracle Support service tickets and escalating support as needed.

Take the lead role on accounting/finance related system issues across the enterprise.

Apply strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial competence.

Interact and partner with all levels of management to drive collaborative business decisions.

Demonstrate a “can‑do” attitude, results‑orientation, and the ability to anticipate change.

Translate strategy into specific priorities, objectives, and action plans.

Ensure appropriate audit and internal control procedures are followed for team work.

Lead all training efforts for accounting/finance users in the various financial systems.

Lead User Acceptance Testing and regression patch testing to ensure changes do not have adverse downstream effects.

Stay abreast of relevant technology and new system enhancements, communicating important changes to stakeholders and updating policies and processes as needed.

Keep system documentation and procedures updated and current.

Provide leadership, management, and direction to staff; prioritize and assign work based on skill sets.

Provide backup coverage for staff during absences or busy times.

Mentor staff to increase system knowledge and support cross‑training.

Establish performance expectations and conduct employee performance reviews.

Manage engagement and partnership with third‑party service and technology providers as needed.

Participate in strategic business planning with business units and IT to formulate enhancement options for specific functional issues/requirements.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant financial application support – Oracle Cloud EPM (EDMC, ARCS, EPBCS, FCCS, PCMCS) and Cloud ERP systems, including development, implementation, modification, project management, and day‑to‑day administration.

BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.

Solid understanding of accounting concepts.

3–5 years of experience managing employees.

Superior analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).

Advanced proficiency in Python, MDX, Calc Scripts, Groovy, or other programming languages – PYCAF architecture a plus.

Advanced proficiency with standard Windows PC software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); MS Access knowledge a plus.

Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple deliverables, and delegate appropriately.

Willingness to work additional overtime and after hours as needed.

Pay and Benefits Salary range: $190,000.00 – $190,000.00 per year.
