Journeyman Installers

Technicians
who will lead the installation, termination, and certification of low-voltage cabling systems in both new construction and active mission-critical facilities. This will require reading, comprehending, and adhering to project design drawings/plans, specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and installation standards while leading or performing the installation and/or decommissioning critical cabling and network infrastructure in a Data Center environment. Technicians must deliver project installations according to the customer’s expectations and exhibit the ability to provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities Installation & Infrastructure
Install, decommission, and maintain critical cabling and network infrastructure in data centers.
Set, level, and ground network cabinets.
Terminate, test, label, and dress copper and fiber cables per QAQC standards.
Build and install 2-post and 4-post racks.
Patch network equipment and run DSX tester (Copper and Fiber).
Perform 4-pair continuity testing and fiber splicing under supervision.
Documentation and Safety
Read and interpret blueprints, port maps, and project design documents.
Document and track daily work activities.
Follow company and client safety protocols to maintain an accident-free environment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications
Journeyman Installer
REQUIRED:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
3+ years relevant experience in data centers or large commercial facilities.
Power Limited Technician License (PLT).
3+ years of experience terminating, testing, labeling of copper and/or fiber cables.
PREFERRED:
OSHA 30 preferred – must obtain within 90 days of hire.
First Aid / CPR certificate – must obtain within 90 days of hire.
BICSI Technical Certifications preferred.
Technician
REQUIRED:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
1000+ hours as a journeyman installer.
Power Limited Technician License (PLT).
Previous experience with Fiber Splicing.
Knowledge how to operate DSX 5000 tester/OTDR Tester.
PREFERRED:
OSHA 30 preferred – must obtain within 90 days of hire.
First Aid / CPR certificate within 90 days of hire.
Fiber Optic Association Certifications preferred.
