This position will support our customer located in Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities
Utilize the DADMS as directed by SECNAVINST 5000.36A to register and attain approval of DON Software prior to installation and use across the Navy Enterprise Network (NEN) and NSWCDD IT systems.
Track and reconcile database records, NMCI and telecom invoices, memos, applications, and other related information associated with Department IT assets, resources, and records such as RDTE, DADMS, CWF CfM details and logistics, telecommunications devices, A&A status, Transfer Agent, Host Based Security System (HBSS), System Authorization Request Navy; update databases, spreadsheets, web sites and other records; attend meetings and communicate results to the appropriate DIO.
Perform data entry of foundational information necessary to add, modify and delete records within the Department of Navy Application and Database Management System (DADMS) system.
Develop and provide training on DADMS for Government and Contractor personnel using a variety of methods.
Collect, review, track, and submit IT Procurement requests from the technical DIOs and submit them to the Activity Command Information Officer (ACIO) for action via the Navy Information Technology Approval System (NAV‑ITAS).
Develop and provide training on NAV‑ITAS to NSWCDD staff.
Qualifications • Two (2) years of professional experience with the Department of the Navy Applications and Database Management System (DADMS), Navy Information Dominance Approval System (NAV‑IDAS), and the Information Technology Purchasing Request Process (ITPR).
• Experience working with Functional Area Managers (FAMs) in researching the status of software applications in DADMS, managing site software portfolios, inputting new applications into DADMS, and working with site Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand their software requirements.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
