The School of Applied Engineering Technology invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty appointment in Cybersecurity, Computer Science and Computer Information Systems disciplines. Major responsibilities include college-level teaching of Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems lecture and laboratory courses in areas such as cybersecurity, networking, computer administration concepts, programming, software engineering, computer architecture, and related topics. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, curriculum development, participation on committees, and collaboration with colleagues to assess student learning outcomes. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach several of the following classes across programs: Cybersecurity (A.S.), Computer Science (A.S.), and Computer Information Systems (A.A.S.). CFS-140 Computer Forensics & Security CFS-232 Cyber Crimes CIS-170 Network Fundamentals CIS-270 Routing & Switching CIS-286 Systems Analysis and Design CSC-110 Program Design & Development (Introductory C++) CSC-111 Fundamentals of Computing I (Java) CSC-112 Fundamentals of Computing II (Java) CSC-211 Computer System Organization CSC-220 Foundations of Computer Science CSC-221 Software Engineering CSC-250 Server Administration CSC-263 C++ Programming (Advanced C++) CSC-280 Python Programming CYB-101 Computer Security CYB-232 Cybercrime CYB-250 Server Administration Other technical courses as necessary Major Responsibilities: Be responsive to student questions and provide student support. Use appropriate technology to enhance learning. Assess learning outcomes and adapt curriculum to meet learning objectives. Demonstrate commitment to working with diverse student populations, including students traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Provide academic advising to support timely degree completion. Be innovative in presenting lectures and hands-on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes. Provide timely feedback on assignments and exams throughout each semester. Meet the needs of the Department and the College, including timely submission of grades and other required materials. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline. OR Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline. OR Industry-recognized professional license or certification with a minimum of 3 years of full-time employment in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. OR Doctorate in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline. Preferred Qualifications: Background in teaching college level courses. Demonstrated connections with local industry. Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Familiar with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python; networking and network security. Additional Information: Salary for Assistant Professor level is $59,676.
