As an Advanced Practice Provider within the Wake Forest Baptist Health system, you'll collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, specialists, and clinical pharmacists to ensure safe and effective patient care during hospital stays and on discharge. You will monitor patient progress, make treatment adjustments, and discuss care with patients and families. You will coordinate with the patient\'s primary care physician, arrange follow-up appointments, and provide essential medical records. What You\'ll Do : PA/AGACNP role:

Rounding on patients, managing admissions, facilitating transfers from the MICU, and seeing consults. May assist with orthopaedic/co-management patients. Responsibilities include: Independently see patients and manage their care during shift Perform assessments and develop plans Perioperative management and pre-op risk assessments for orthopedic/surgical patients Place orders and call consults as needed Coordinate with Nursing Staff and Case Management Conduct family meetings if necessary Develop discharge plan when applicable Respond to Rapid Responses and CODES Staff patients with assigned attending physicians and provide updates Provide hand-off/sign-out at shift end to the nocturnist Procedural skills per department guidelines Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research Potential to precept students and medical learners Uphold mission, values, and cultural commitment Performs other related duties incidental to the work described Functions under licensing board regulations with departmental credentialing Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master\'s Degree preferred Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, NCCPA certified Minimum of 2 years of inpatient hospital medicine experience BLS and ACLS required Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master\'s Program; Master\'s degree or higher Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license Board certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC Minimum of 2 years of inpatient hospital medicine experience BLS and ACLS required Where You\'ll Live : The Piedmont Triad region in North Carolina is recognized for quality of life and community amenities.
