PIT Operator
Position Title:
Shipping PIT Operator
Pay Rate:
$25.59 per hour (+ shift differential of $0.25 per hour for 2nd shift / $0.50 per hour for 3rd shift)
Sign on Bonus:
$500 after 90 days, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year, and an additional bonus at 2 years
Category/Shift:
Hourly Full-Time
2 openings:
2nd Shift:
3pm – 11pm, M-F OR
3rd Shift:
11pm – 7am, M-F
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.

The Job You Will Perform:
Safely operate a sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT)
Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment
Load and unload trailers
Complete pre-start PIT maintenance inspection report
Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure
Complete receiving report to accurately record materials received
Submit receiving reports after trailer is unloaded
Complete load sheet to accurately record grades, bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments
Complete and submit load sheet at completion of shipment
Understand and follow load pattern according to trailer and railcart
Follow all safety rules and practices at all times
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
The Skills You Will Bring:
Minimum of 2 years PIT experience
Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor-intensive work environment
Background as an order picker is preferred
Corrugated industry manufacturing environment preferred
Know what a monotrol pedal is and how it operates
Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment
Computer literate and able to use scanning equipment and coordinate transportation of products
Ability to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a team member
Must successfully pass employer test
