Job Title: Admissions Recruiter II (Atlanta Metro Region)
Location: Valdosta State University – Atlanta, GA region
Regular/Temporary: Regular
Full/Part Time: Full-Time
Job Summary: Embed within a specific recruitment community, establish and maintain an institutional presence and serve as a liaison for potential students. Manage assigned territory, compile data to understand recruitment potential, and use data to build goals and manage recruitment plans. Visit schools and colleges to foster partnerships, design and implement recruitment programs for targeted groups, provide information to families and students, create marketing materials, and analyze trends to adapt recruitment strategies.
Responsibilities:
Manage assigned territory of 25 students, building recruitment plans based on data.
Visit schools and colleges, speaking to groups and individuals to develop partnerships.
Design and implement recruitment programs for targeted groups, tailoring messages to community needs.
Provide information to students and families regarding educational opportunities, admissions requirements, policies, and financial assistance.
Create and distribute promotional materials designed for recruitment and retention of targeted groups.
Audit student data and analyze trends in recruitment and retention to develop program evaluation strategies.
Supervisor Expectations:
Reside in the Atlanta, GA area.
Represent Valdosta State University at events in the Atlanta region, including college fairs and high school visits (extensive travel expected).
Manage recruitment efforts in the primary and secondary markets of the Atlanta region, using data to plan events and achieve recruitment goals.
Attend on‑campus admissions events such as Open House, Accepted Student Day, Scholarship Day, and training sessions.
Use technology extensively (texting, email, phone) to maximize student engagement from inquiry to enrollment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of related work experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in data analysis and program development is highly desirable.
Ability to travel extensively within the designated territory.
Salary: $56,160
