Auriga Polymers Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Indorama Ventures PLC, is seeking a dynamic and results‑oriented Account Manager / Sr. Account Manager to join our PET Specialty Polymers business team. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our specialty PET resin portfolio, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, with opportunities to collaborate with global teams and customers.
The Account Manager / Sr. Account Manager will spearhead business development efforts, foster strong customer partnerships, and provide technical expertise to promote specialty PET resins across diverse applications, including food and beverage, barrier resins, medical packaging, nonwovens, biaxial films, and specialty sheets. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, technical acumen, and commercial savvy to drive sustainable growth and profitability while upholding Auriga’s commitment to innovation and compliance.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement commercialization strategies to secure sustainable, profitable growth for specialty PET resins, aligning with market trends and customer needs.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, leveraging market insights to propose value‑added ventures that enhance Auriga’s portfolio and competitive position.
Manage and expand customer relationships, serving as a trusted technical and commercial advisor to increase value for both customers and Auriga through tailored PET resin solutions.
Support market analysis to prioritize opportunities, identify emerging trends, and maximize long‑term value in target markets such as medical, nonwovens, films, and specialty sheets.
Provide technical expertise to support customers in product selection, application development, and optimization of specialty PET resins for specific performance requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, product development, and marketing) to ensure the alignment of product offerings with market demands and customer specifications.
Validate and support product marketing claims, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance in all promotional materials and customer communications.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies in sales and business development activities.
Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) to track customer interactions, sales pipelines, and performance metrics to drive data‑informed decisions.
Foster cross‑functional collaboration to support product innovation, sustainability initiatives, and supply chain optimization.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills to cultivate trust and long‑term partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Communicate effectively, delivering compelling presentations, technical proposals, and reports to diverse audiences, including technical and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical sales, new business development, or marketing of specialty materials, with a preference for experience in PET resins, polymers, or related industries.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitable growth in competitive markets.
Deep understanding of specialty PET resin applications in markets such as food packaging, medical devices, nonwovens, biaxial films, and specialty sheets is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of polymer properties, processing techniques (e.g., extrusion, injection molding, film production), and application development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer‑centric value propositions.
Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally as required.
Self‑motivated and results‑driven, with the ability to deliver impactful outcomes with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with sustainability trends in the polymer industry, including recycling and bio‑based materials, is a plus.
