Key Responsibilities: Operate Front, Side, or Rear-Loading Trucks safely while collecting waste and recyclable materials. Transport materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, making multiple trips as required. Handle both manual and automatic trucks, ensuring efficient operation. Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and maneuver up to 100 pounds, while also mounting and dismounting the truck throughout the route. Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States. Hold a valid Class A or B CDL with an airbrake endorsement. Have a minimum of 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 7 years, specifically with rear load, roll off, and front load garbage trucks. Exhibit a great safety record and maintain a clean MVR. Previous experience with a refuse company is highly preferred. Possess familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and relevant traffic regulations. Ability to communicate effectively in English, interpret traffic signs and signals, and maintain accurate records. Capable of reading maps and navigating through congested areas and tight spaces. Meet the physical and safety requirements of the position and be able to work hours as required by DOT regulations, including possible weekends and holidays. Additional Requirements: Must perform highly skilled backing maneuvers. Routine climbing in and out of the truck cab is necessary to service customer accounts.
